Vibbl has won the Regional Finals of Technation’s Rising Stars 5.0 competition. The prestigious competition was entered by 400 companies from across the UK with Vibbl named as one of the three regional finalists representing the North East with a national final to come.
Vibbl is on a mission to reduce teacher workload by enabling better, faster and more collaborative feedback. Teachers can use Vibbl to snap student work, record verbal feedback and then send it in seconds through an app. The app is available to use from Monday 13th February when Vibbl launches.
Vibbl’s CEO and Founder Nihad Ćehić said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have Vibbl recognised as a Rising Stars Regional Winner! We believe that teachers need support, now more than ever, and we are working hard to reduce teacher workload for free through Vibbl. The whole Rising Stars process has been incredible and supported us to be ready for our launch next week.”
“We will now enter the National Finals with another pitch on Thursday 16th February where we will be up against the best and brightest new tech businesses from across the country. Rising Stars has entrants from all sectors, so we are delighted to be flying the flag for EdTech and the North East.”
Director Jack Deverson said: “Vibbl is one of those incredibly promising ideas with the potential to help a lot of teachers. Myself and the wider team at Evidence Based Education are delighted with the success and recognition Vibbl has rightly received.”
“The North East is home to lots of innovative EdTech companies and I hope to see greater growth within the region in this sector to create more high quality jobs.”
